Format
This will be a fun, but competitive, round-robin team tournament. Our goal is to have a great day of Squash while raising money for the cancer centers!
Each team will consist of Four (4x) team members with each participant in a minimum of three matches. (The number of games per match will be determined by the number of registrants participating in this event). Teams can consist of players of varying skill. Every point counts in this event.
The competition will be tiered based on skill level of play. To facilitate this, as part of the registration process each participant will be required to submit their skill level:
Novice Skill Level
Intermediate Skill Level
Advanced Skill Level
Participants are welcome to:
Start your own team or Join an existing team. Teams may consist of players of varying skill.
Register to participate as an individual. In this instance, you will be assigned to a team
If your registered team has fewer than four players we will do our best to fill the team with individual registrants.
Schedule:
Saturday, June 2, 2018: Friends and family are welcomed to join us at the Charlotte Squash Club as spectators free of charge – join us for good food, great company and a Squash exhibition game!
- 9:00am: Registration/Check-in open. Breakfast is served.
- 10:00am: Start of match play
- 12:30 – 2:00pm: Lunch is served/Play with the Pros
- 1:00 – 2pm Cancer Research Expert talks about Cancer
- 2:00pm Match play resumes
- 4:30pm Match play concludes
- 4:30pm – 5.30pm Exhibition Game featuring Nosherwan Khan
- 5.30pm Awards Ceremony
- 6:00pm Event to conclude
**6.00pm onwards** social at club, food and drinks cost $10 pp
PLAY WITH THE PROS: 12.30PM
Fancy the chance to play the best? How about bragging rights that you have played against a well-recognized professional squash player such as Nosherwan Khan?!
SQUASH Cancer offers an exclusive number of slots for participants to learn from the best! During the lunch break between match play on Saturday, May 12 (12.30pm – 2.00pm), for a $50 donation you’ll have the chance to go head-to-head with a Squash Pro for 10-15 minutes.
Slots are available on a first-come, first serve basis. Each registrant has the opportunity to sign up/pay for Play with the Pros as part of their registration process.
EXHIBITION GAME: 4.30PM
This is an exclusive opportunity to see top US Squash players in action on the court here in Charlotte, NC. This event is free to attend so please invite your friends and family!
